In the Petromax Hand Mortar, you can grind spices, nuts and seeds for a variety of creative dishes over the fire with little effort. All it takes is a small twisting motion, since the weight of the mortar and pestle grinds the spices almost effortlessly and the fluting in the bottom part of the mortar and pestle assist you in this process. All grinding degrees are possible with the cast-iron mortar: Black pepper is ideal for a very coarse grinding result. Its texture is preserved during grinding and the flavour of campfire dishes is intensely highlighted. For a fine grinding result, you can grind the spices until they become powdery, so that a fine and intense fragrance can be perceived.
You can effortlessly mix several spices together. The slightly pungent spiciness of caraway is combined with the intense fragrance of tarragon and the piquant aroma of bay leaves in combination with the slightly hot or fruity mild taste of paprika creates an intensely aromatic spice blend. To allow the flavor to unfold in the campfire dish, you can store your individual spice blend in an airtight container in the upper part of the mortar. The valuable aromas will only unfold during cooking.
To clean your Hand Mortar, simply rinse it with water and let it dry thoroughly. The sturdy and durable cast iron requires little maintenance, you can use the Petromax Chain Mail Cleaner to remove traces if necessary.

If you pay our store via PayPal, then we will only deliver to the address provided to us by PayPal. Any errors in the information supplied are at the sole responsibly of the customer.
The company (us) shall not be held liable for delays with delivery of goods caused by third parties. In the event of a lost package we will require up to 14 business days before being able to replace or credit for any lost goods.

Overnight & Express Delivery
Overnight delivery is not available for Zones C & D Highlands and Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Guernsey and Jersey, Isle of Scilly.
If chosen as a shipping option we will dispatch asap. However, we cannot 100% guarantee delivery in the timescale stated due to issues that may arise during the delivery process that are beyond our control. Shipping charges will therefore not be refunded

Your order will arrive usually the following working day between 9am and 6pm.
Overnight Courier orders need to be placed before the cut off time of 1pm during the working week. Orders placed on a weekend will not be fulfilled until the following Monday for delivery on Tuesday
Age Restricted Items
Due to a new law governing the supply and delivery of bladed items, such items will be shipped on Express Delivery using DPD, Royal Mail & Parcelforce Couriers who will ask to see valid ID on the doorstep before releasing your item (i.e. Driving license, Passport)
Non Delivery
Genuine postal losses are rare in the UK, in most cases orders have been returned to us by the post office as simply uncollected when buyers have reported items as undelivered.
Please check with your local delivery office before contacting us about non-delivery. Where items are returned to us we will contact you and a postage charge will be made before items can be redelivered.
Age Verification
It is illegal to sell knives or crossbows to anyone under the age of 18. Your age will be checked in the background before dispatched. We will contact you via email & text message if we require more information.
